Siesky Goldstein opened Globe Clothing store at 38 Morgan Square and later changed the name to S. Goldstein. Louis Goldstein (b. 1890) served as the store’s clerk. After the store’s closure, Louis joined his father and brother at Guarantee Clothing Store, located in the same storefront under the new address 122 Morgan Square.

The Jewish Merchant Project is supported by the generosity of the Norman and Gerry Sue Arnold Foundation and the Stanley B. Farbstein Endowment at the Coastal Community Foundation. Longtime members of the JHSSC, Mr. Arnold obm, a merchant himself, and Mr. Farbstein obm were both children of South Carolina Jewish merchants.
