Benjamin Levinson (1885-1944), who immigrated to the United States from Latvia in 1903, worked as a merchant in Bishopville, South Carolina, selling dry goods, general merchandise, and clothes. Towards the end of his life, he was the proprietor of a retail ready-to-wear store in Bishopville.
