In 1892, Jacob Needle (1869-1932), the son of Charleston clothing merchants Harris (c.1841-1904) and Rebecca Needle (c.1841-1909), opened a clothing store at 526 King Street in Charleston, SC. The business remained in operation through at least 1931, with its final location being at 547 King Street.
