During the 1910s, Russian immigrant Louis Goldiner (1870-1940) operated two dry goods stores in Florence, South Carolina: one at 14 North Dargan Street, and one at 118 North Dargan Street. Before that, he lived in New York City with his family and worked as a neckwear manufacturer. Around 1920, Goldiner and his family moved to Orangeburg, South Carolina. He operated a dry goods store there until around 1935.
