FAMILIES: Aberman

After he closed his scrap metal and junk business, Sol’s Junk & Metal Co., in the mid-1950s, Russian immigrant Sol Aberman (1900-1967) founded Sol’s Industrial Sales. From his new business, Sol sold construction tools, shop tools, manufacturing equipment, and odds and ends such as electrical supplies, motors, shelves, dollies, trailers, tires, and wheels. After Sol’s death in 1967, his son, Eddie (1932-2000), took over the business. Sol’s Industrial Sales ceased operations in 1985.
