FAMILIES: Aronson

In 1951, Harold Marion Aronson (1919-2020) founded the Aronson Awning Company in Orangeburg, South Carolina, which sells a wide variety of exterior home features, including awnings, garage doors, and seamless gutters. Born in Lane, South Carolina, Aronson was educated in Bayonne, New Jersey. After finishing school, he returned to South Carolina to help run his father’s business in Kingstree. After serving in World War II, Aronson moved to Orangeburg, South Carolina, where married Rose Louise Rich (1922-2004) and founded his awning business.
