FAMILIES: Brody

In early 1983, Mark Brody and his father, Alex Brody, began renovating the old Capitol Department Store in preparation for the opening of Brody’s On Main. The new store carried “a higher-priced and expanded line of women’s coats, suits, sportswear and dresses in junior, misses and larger sizes” than Brody’s Department Store. It also absorbed the neighboring Abram Brody’s Shoes.
