FAMILIES: Moise

In 1916, Edwin Warren Moise (1883-1945) and his wife, Louise Lenoir Moise (1891-1969) founded the Carolina Machinery Co. In operation through at least 1929, the business, located at 1925 Main Street in Sumter, South Carolina, sold automobiles and farm equipment across the state. Family members Davis DeLeon Moise (1880-1931) and Francis Marion Moise Sr. (1893-1968) joined the company as its operations expanded.
