Efron’s Dress Shop was owned by Mary Fadem Efron (1902-1974), who moved to Aiken from St. Louis, Missouri by 1921 with her husband, Harry Efron (1898-1999), to join his extended family. She also owned Mary Efron Children’s Shop. The Efrons retired and returned to St. Louis by 1950.
