FAMILIES: Weinberg

Julien Weinberg, Sr. (1882-1944) was born in Manning, South Carolina to local grocer Aaron Weinberg (1841-1919) and his wife Rosa Levi Weinberg (1855-1923). From around 1910 until around 1940, Weinberg worked as a broker in his hometown. Newspaper notices from the period indicate that he mostly occupied himself with the buying and selling of cotton and real estate. Prior to working as a broker, Weinberg opened a bicycle shop in Manning with J. A. Brown.
