In 1900, Polish immigrant Rebecca Needle (c.1841-1909) opened a clothing store at 540 King Street in Charleston, SC. The wife of Charleston clothing merchant Harris Needle (c.1841-1904), Rebecca operated her store until 1901. Her son, Jacob (1869-1932), also worked as a clothing merchant in Charleston.
