FAMILIES: Ryttenberg

After the closure of J. Ryttenberg & Sons around 1905, Abe Ryttenberg (1861-1927) founded Ryttenberg & Company. Managed by Sumter businessman Robert Henry Witherspoon (1878-1929), Ryttenberg & Company operated as a wholesale grocery and supplier of agricultural products. Ryttenberg & Company closed its doors after Witherspoon’s death in 1929.
