FAMILIES: Fass

W. Aaron Fass (1881-1913) immigrated to the United States from Austria as a young child. He spent his teen years in New York City and then moved to Dillon County to be closer to his older brothers Morris (1871-1935), Israel Isaac (1872-1918), Max (1877-1935), and David (1881-1956) who were all engaged in mercantile businesses there. In keeping with his family’s entrepreneurial spirit, Aaron opened a dry goods store which he operated until his death in December 1913.
