Sometime in the 1920s, Carl Schlosburg (1905-1961) established himself as a wholesale grocer in Camden, SC. The son of Camden merchant Harry Leon Schlosburg (1877-1940) and Anna Karesh Schlosburg (1878-1946), Carl would open liquor store S&S Package Shop in Camden in 1935 and later co-found the Camden Iron & Metal Co. and the Sarsfield Supper Club. Carl appears to have exited the grocery business upon his entry into the retail liquor business.
