Jacob “Jack” Fox (1907-1977) spent the first half of his life living in the Bronx. He married Edythe “Rose” Witt (1911-1994) in New York City in October 1930, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Lois (1931-2015), ten months later. In the 1940s, the Fox family moved to Bennettsville where Jack opened Fox Jewelers which he operated until his death in April 1977.
