FAMILIES: Keyserling

In 1889, Joseph Keyserling (1865-c.1940) immigrated to the United States from Russia. After he settled in Beaufort, Keyserling managed the MacDonald-Wilkins Company’s store in Dale. Soon thereafter, Keyserling moved to Beaufort to run the MacDonald-Wilkins store there. Also, Keyserling worked as a buyer for the wholesale portion of the business at the MacDonald-Wilkins store in Beaufort.
