Philip H. Levy

In 1920, an article in Orangeburg newspaper The Times and Democrat listed New York native Philip H. Levy as one of the town’s Jewish merchants who donated to the creation of a “South Carolina Memorial.”¹ Levy lived in Orangeburg as early as 1917 and as late as 1928. According to the 1920 Census, Levy dealt in dry goods.
