Around the time he closed his scrap metal, hide, and junk business, Sol’s Junk & Metal Co., Russian immigrant Sol Aberman (1900-1967) opened a scrap metal business at 1061 Camden Avenue in Rock Hill. Only a few blocks away from his earlier business, Sol’s Iron & Metal Co. remained in operation until his death in 1967.
